The Bioenno Power Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Battery Model BLF-1212AS is a next-generation 12V 12Ah battery engineered for high-performance, high-discharge applications. As the latest upgrade to the BLF-1212WS and T models, this sealed ABS version delivers outstanding power density and safety for demanding use cases such as sailplane avionics, ham radio, e-bikes, and portable AV setups.  This product includes the BA-QD-PP45 and BA-DCF-PP45 adapters to convert the tabs to PowerPole.

General:  I noticed the Max and Peak Continuous Discharge on the label may be different from the website and why? 

The printed label may be rated to 1C Max Continuous or 2C peak. Our batteries have different size circuit boards installed in order to ensure the battery can deliver the 2,000 to 3,000 charge cycles:
BLF-1203AB/BLF-1203W/BLF-1203A: 7 Amp Circuit board (that can surge to 14 Amps for 2 seconds)
BLF-12045W: 7 Amp Circuit Board (that can surge to 14 Amps for 2 seconds)
BLF-1206A: 12 Amp Circuit Board (that can surge to 24 Amps for 2 seconds)
BLF-1208LB: 12 Amp Circuit Board (that can surge to 24 Amps for 2 seconds)
BLF-1209A/WS: 20 Amp Circuit Board (that can surge to 24 Amps for 2 seconds)
BLF-1212A/AB/AS: 30 Amp Circuit Board (that surge to 40 Amps for 2 seconds)
BLF-1215A/AS: 30 Amp Circuit Board (that can surge to 40 Amps for 2 seconds)

The de-rating on the label to 1C (or 1 x Capacity) is mentioned to ensure the battery can deliver more than 2,000 to 3,000 cycles. However, rest assured for those batteries over 12Ah, they can deliver the 23 Amps (for 100W PEP transmission) for your ham radio equipment which has a duty cycle of 20% transmit and 80% receive. If you operate continuous at the 2C (or 2 x Capacity of the battery) discharge (with no duty cycle), the cycle life is a bit less to about 1,800 to 2,000 cycles instead of 2,000 to 3,000 cycles.  All the batteries have a 20 year complete replacement warranty (recently updated in our Warranty section on the website), even when operating at the max limits of the discharge current (as mentioned above).
